He's here! June 2

Isaiah 6:1-4 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another:
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”
At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.

Some years ago, I was ministering in a small church in Jackson, Mississippi. One evening I was preparing to do a dramatic presentation. I had changed into a biblical costume and was waiting for my cue to enter the sanctuary. The door I was waiting near was directly across from the nursery. Suddenly, the door opened. A little 3 year-old boy looked up at me and his eyes got really big. He wheeled around and ran back into the nursery yelling, "Hey ya'll, God is out there!!!"

It took a few minutes to get my composure back after that. That is one of the only times I've ever had that major a problem with mistaken identity.

But think about this. Every time we enter the church to worship, He has promised to be there. We should be running into the streets after we've met to worship declaring, "Hey ya'll, God is in there!"

Jesus promised, "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” There is wonderful potential for our greatest problems to meet with His incredible power and find His abundant provision every time we meet to worship. Then, when we have met with Him we can walk into our world and take that same presence with us everywhere we go.

May you have the delight of having a case of mistaken identity.
